Xilisoft DVD Copy Express features a streamlined program that performs as advertised and is available at a great price. The options are pleasantly few – though you can buy plenty of plugins that can up the functionality if you’re an advanced user. The main interface gives you three options: select from Whole Disc or Main Movie, select a source and target and that’s all. Further settings can be found in a pull-out drawer tab located on the side of the main interface.
Standout features:
The interface is deceptively simple-looking, almost too simple. A lot of the settings and menus aren’t on display and you kind of have to root around looking for them.
The version information of the program and available menus are located at the top right of the main interface, there is small button next to the minimize button. About DVD Copy will show you the version numbers, etc. The settings are located in a pull-out drawer on the right of the interface.
When you check the "Include Menus" option on, after the burning job, the new DVD movie being created will retain the original menus of the movie. And when you play the new copy, the menus will be shown automatically. If you also check "Skip Menu" on simultaneously, although the menu will be kept to the final output, it will not be automatically shown in the playback. You must manually operate the final movie so that the menu part of the movie can be seen. The "Skip Menu" option alone cannot be checked.
